Up 2 half steps (or down 10).

A E F#m D
Here is a line of the song lyrics
A E/G# D A
And another line to show the idea

How to use it

  1. Paste a chord chart. Chords can sit on their own line above the lyrics, or inside square brackets like [G]Amazing [C]grace.
  2. Check the From key. It is guessed from the first chord; change it if the song starts on a different chord.
  3. Pick the To key and copy the result.

It understands slash chords (D/F♯), sevenths, suspended and added notes, diminished and augmented chords. Lyrics lines are left alone, and chords stay above the same words where there is room.

Sharps or flats?

By default the result uses flats in flat keys (F, B♭, E♭, A♭, D♭, G♭) and sharps elsewhere, which is how most charts are written. Choose sharps or flats yourself if your band prefers.
